Double Header, January 18

Grand Raggidy Roller Girls to defend their Division 2 Rankings in their first game of 2014

The Grand Raggidy Roller Girls All Stars and Attack take on the Fort Wayne Derby Girls on January 18, 2014. Doors open at 5:00PM and action starts at 6:00PM with the Attack taking on the visiting Fort Wayne SWAT team. The double header action continues when the Fort Wayne Bomb Squad looks to move up with a win over your home town Grand Raggidy Roller Girls in the second game of the evening.. Since 2008 these teams have faced each other nine times in head to head action. Currently Fort Wayne Derby Girls are Division 3 and ranked 105th out of 166 teams, while you home town girls are Division 2 and ranked 56th overall. In their six year history of playing each other Grand Raggidy has come home victorious in all but one game back in 2011. HUGE jaw breaking hits are guaranteed as this is a must win for both teams in order to move up in rankings. Grand Raggidy recently dropped down to Division 2 after competing in the Division 1 play offs in 2013 and are looking to return to Division 1 with some key wins throughout the year. On the upcoming game Ringo Deathstarr, key blocker for the All Stars had this to say – “the All Stars lost a few of our veteran players this season, but I’m feeling very confident that we will come out victorious over Fort Wayne.”

Adding to the excitement of the game the Grand Raggidy’s own Brixton Bomb is encouraging fans to wear their over-the-top sweater (not necessarily holiday related) and show off their extraordinary facial hair for a chance to win swag bag prizes for the most outrageous. So grow it out, dress it up and come join the fun!
