Double Header - October 24

On Saturday Oct 24th Grand Raggidy Roller Derby will take on the Aurora 88’s from Aurora, Illinois in a double header event. At 6 p.m. the Grand Raggidy Attack will kick off the action against the Wrath Pack. This will be the second time that these two teams have played. At their last meeting the Wrath Pack came out on top. Directly following the first game, the Grand Raggidy All Stars will take on the Original Sin in a first time meeting. The game begins at 8 p.m. and both teams are hoping to draw first blood. Currently the Grand Raggidy All Stars are ranked 81st. The Original Sin is an apprentice team with WFTDA working towards their membership status and, therefore, they are not ranked.

There will be something for everyone to celebrate at this fantastic event. Everyone is encouraged to get in the spirit of Halloween and come in costume. There will be a free photo shoot for anyone who shows up in dressed to impress. Half-time entertainment will include a game of musical chairs and a ring toss. We will also be taking donations and raising funds for the Kids Food Basket of Grand Rapids. In addition to monetary donations we will be collecting snacks that will be used in sack lunches for local school aged children.

In honor of the 10 year anniversary of GRRD, tickets that are purchased from a skater will be only $10. Advanced tickets can also be purchased at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ for $12 and tickets purchased at the door are $15. There are also discounts for kids, students, military personal & seniors.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the action starts at 6 p.m. Be sure to get there early because you are going to want front row seats for this show.
